Question: Where have all the good times gone!
Answer: To Saratoga Springs of course! We do have availability for the Thoroughbred Racing Meet which starts July 23rd. The Thoroughbreds will be "At The Post" till September 1st (except Tues.). The Six Sisters Bed and Breakfast is located across the street from the track with off-street parking for our guests and a ten minute walk to town.

Question: Where are you located?
Answer: We are off of I-87, 45 minutes north of Albany, exit 14, approximately 1 mile west of I-87, on Union Ave. (Route 9P). We are a 10 minute walk to downtown Saratoga Springs, across the street from the Saratoga Thoroughbred Race Course, a 5 minute drive to Skidmore College, the Saratoga Springs City Center and Saratoga Performing Arts Center located in the Spa State Park. The Saratoga National Park is approximately a 20 minutes drive and Lake George minutes north of us. Please look at our directions page for specifics on how to find us. (Please note that if you are using Mapquest they have us listed before East Ave. when actually we are beyond East Ave., between Ludlow and Nelson on the right side of the street.) For using Global Positioning Systems and/or Geocatching , our GPS coordinates are N 43 degrees 04.580 W 73 degrees 46.507.

Question: Do you have parking?
Answer: Yes off street parking is available behind the house for our guests.

Question: How far are you from NYC?
Answer: 3 1/2 - 4 hours depending on weather and traffic.

Question: How far are you from Skidmore College?
Answer: We are a five minute drive to the campus

Question: Is breakfast included in the stay?
Answer: Yes a full cooked breakfast is served family style between 8:00 am and 9:30 am which includes coffee, tea, juice, fruit, a baked good, breakfast meat and an entrée’. Coffee, tea and juice is available at 7:00 am. Please look at our recipe page for a sample of what we serve. Since we are not a restaurant, breakfast is served to our guests only.

Answer: Yes we are. Please look at our events page for a current list of what is happening in and around the area.

Question: How do we make a reservation?
Answer: We invite you to read our brochure and explore our web site to learn more about our Bed and Breakfast, Saratoga Springs and availability during the peak seasons. Please contact us by mail, phone (518-583-1173), fax (518) 587-2470 or e-mail us if you have any questions. We prefer though that you call us to make an actual reservation.

Question: Do the guest rooms have private bathrooms?
Answer: Yes all guest rooms have private bathrooms, some with whirlpool tubs.

Question: Do the guest rooms have televisions?
Answer: All of our guest rooms have small color cable televisions, little refrigerators, window ac, most rooms have ceiling fans and several have private porches.

Question: What are your rates?
Answer: Rates vary depending on the room and season.

Question: Do you require a deposit?
Answer: Reservations are guaranteed, ONLY if a deposit is received within ten days after placement of your reservation. One or two night stays require FULL payment as deposit. Three nights or more require a 50% deposit (except special requests). Returned checks $25.00. Balance is due at check-in, checks or cash preferred. Guests are expected to pay for their entire reservation. Minimum stays may be required. Rates are based on double occupancy and subject to NYS and local sales tax.

Question: What is your cancellation policy?
Answer: Your deposit applies to your entire stay. As we deal primarily with advance reservations, deposits will be refunded or applied to a new date, if cancellation is received 14 days prior to arrival date. If not, deposit will be refunded, ONLY if we rent the room. Returned deposits are subject to a $25.00 service charge. We reserve the right to extend the cancellation policy to 30 days. Question: Is smoking permitted?
Answer: Please there is no smoking in the house. There are porches with furniture off of the house for those guests who want to smoke.

Question: Can you accommodate children?
Answer: We are able to handle children at ages 10 and up.

Question: Do you allow pets in the house?
Answer: Sorry but we are not equipped to have pets stay in the house.

Question: Where did the name Six Sisters B&B come from?
Answer: Innkeeper Kate Benton has six sisters in her family and Kathleen is one of the six girls. She named each room after one of her sisters. Maureen, Bernice, Victoria, Elizabeth and Agatha. Kate also has six brothers who are waiting for their B&B to open.

Question: How far are you from the City Center/Prime Hotel?
Answer: We are just a five minute drive (brisk 20 minute walk) to the City Center Conference complex on the northern end of town, where meetings and conferences are held.

Question: Do you host weddings or small parties?
Answer: Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to be able to offer the space or services that even a small wedding needs to be successful. However if your guests are attending your wedding in the area we can offer them unique and personal lodging accommodations. Please look at our wedding link below.

Question: How far are you from the Performing Arts Center?
Answer: The Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) where the Lake George Opera Festival, Freihofer's Jazz Festival, NYC Ballet, Saratoga Chamber Music Festival, Philadelphia Orchestra and numerous special events takes place, is a five minute drive from the Six Sisters Bed and Breakfast.
